new lunch fetish.

just discovered urfa tomato kabob (thanks ab!) in chinatown in dc. i couldn't find a website, but they have great lamb kabob, falafel, and tomato kabob (kabob with rich tomato sauce) sandwiches served on freshly made buns (a little thicker than pitas). a sandwich and fries or chips and a drink is between $8 and $10. i got the falafel sandwich- it was loaded with very moist falafel patties, hummus, tomatoes, onions and cucumber and had tahini sauce and hot sauce on the side. its behind the verizon center, so the street parking during lunchtime wasn't hard to find at all. if we weren't in such a rush, we would have munched outside under their awning. highly recommended!
